The public's last chance to weigh in on Watsonville's move toward blackout Fridays is Tuesday, June 9 at 4pm at 275 Main St., Watsonville.

WHAT IT IS: Watsonville City Council and Public Hearing

WHEN IT HAPPENS: Tuesday, June 9 at 4pm

WHERE TO GO: 275 Main St., Fourth Floor, Watsonville

WHY BOTHER: This is the public's last chance to weigh in on the city's 2009-10 budget, and while some decisions--like a four-day work week for city employees--are certain, no council heartstrings should be left untugged when it comes to closing community centers and slashing nonprofit monies. Speak now or forever hold your peace--the budget gets adopted June 23.
