Go With the Stanford Low Flow

I stopped watching Seinfeld reruns after I’d seen every episode at least 10 times. But the Seinfeld moments keep coming. Recently, for instance, students at Stanford revolted against new low-flow shower heads in their dorm rooms. Forgetting for any thoughts of being environmentally conscious, think back to the Seinfeld “Shower Head” Episode of 1996. Jerry learns that the shower heads have been replaced in his building, and Kramer, presaging today’s flat-haired Stanford students, says, “Low flow? I don’t like the sound of that.”

Kramer and Newman fight back by buying their own shower head from a guy who sells them out of his trunk like a gun runner. They end up with the Commando 450 (“It’s only used in the circus. For elephants.”) In the coda, Kramer is literally blown out of his bath by the water pressure. Beware what you wish for, Cardinals.
