Members of Congress keep district offices to stay in touch with their constituents. They field calls about the IRS, immigration and naturalization, Social Security, Veterans Administration claims, small business loan applications, student financial aid and the post office.

The registrar can hook you up with your local rep, and you can locate the feds through the Library of Congress's "Thomas" site.
