For Night Owls

"Early to Bed and Early to Rise, Makes a Man or Woman Miss Out on the Nightlife."
Mark Sandman (after Franklin)

B ack in the mellow days of yore, 7-Eleven was named for the hours it kept. Now, it's open round-the-clock, as are many other quickie marts, gas stations and, of course, the "Always Open" Denny's. Many donut shops stay open all night long, and now some fast-food joints are making the leap. Kinko's offers wee-hours copying, and many Lucky and Safeway stores serve customers 24 hours a day. Busy people find these standbys indispensible--but the true night owl is always on the lookout for other establishments whose doors stay open at least until midnight. The following is an incomplete list, but it's a start for people who seek fun while the rest of the valley sleeps.

Pool Halls
Bowling Alleys
Movie Theaters
Bookstores
Music/Video Stores
Health Clubs
Restaurants & Cafes
Pizza
Fast Food
Grocery Stores
