The all-night dance and music event starts at 5pm on July 10 and runs until 6am the next morning. In addition to more than 50 live acts and DJs, the epic event features an extreme-sports arena, interactive games, Laser Tag, bungee jumping, acrobats, trapeze artists, a vendor village and more. If you're searching for something a little more mellow, the Lilith Fair makes a two-day stop at Shoreline Amphitheatre July 13-14. The core lineup is Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, the Pretenders, Luscious Jackson, Beth Orton, Sixpence None the Richer and Tekla. July 13 will also feature Bijou Phillips, while July 14 will showcase Cibo Matto and the Murmurs.

Exceptional modern folk-rock artist Stuart Davis gives a solo acoustic performance July 9 at Espresso Garden and Cafe. ... Papa Roach, Swerver and Leisure have a big show coming up July 10 at Gaslighter's Music Hall in Gilroy. ... Operator: Generator promises to deliver a louder-than-loud performance at the Usual July 13. ... And this is the week Mr. Bungle ends its long hiatus. The band releases its newest album, California, on July 13 and performs at Slim's in San Francisco on July 13 and 14. Good luck getting in.
