Background Noise

[whitespace] What adds color to a sporting event is the announcing. Through the articulate use of the English language, it helps paint a picture of the athletic drama at hand. The majority involves spectators "making some noise" or athletes "pushing the limits." Here's a few of my favorite announcer quips:

"He definitely pushed it to the limit!"

"These guys are all friends out here--they really push each other!"

"They're doing it right for you!"

"Bring down the house for that incredible run."

"If you want to see him push the limits, San Francisco, you're going to have to make some noise!"

"If you want extreme, check out the new Disney film Tarzan. This is not your father's Tarzan!"

"San Francisco, you guys RULE!"

"Look at that real street element!"

"If you like what you see, San Francisco, make some noise!!!!"
