THE YOUNG members of the Daedalus Quartet of Pennsylvania pay a visit to the ongoing San Jose Chamber Music Society concert series. Joining the group will be guest clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein, who recently completed a residency for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. First St., San Jose; $28–$40; 408.286.5111.The lively sounds of the French Baroque are showcased by the San Francisco Early Music Society at its Palo Alto concert. Annalisa Pappano leads the Catacoustic Consort in the performance. Friday (April 17) at 8pm; First Lutheran Church, 600 Homer Ave., Palo Alto; $10–$25; 510.528.1725.
