Once a secret retreat for men looking to get a quick fantasy fix, gentlemen's clubs have become a new normal in a culture saturated with sexuality. Whether it's curiosity, peer pressure, loneliness or sheer lust, nearly everyone has been to one at some point in their adult life. But not everyone knows how to to act. Here are some tips from Aurora, a former exotic dancer in Miami who now lives in San Jose:

1) Go to have fun. Enjoy an atmosphere surrounded by beautiful ladies who are also enjoying themselves. If you're having a good time, it will set the girls at ease and they'll genuinely enjoy being around you.

2) Don't assume you can get laid. Don't try to wear the girls' defenses down by putting your hands in places you've been told not to touch. This is both exhausting and unpleasant for the dancers. They WILL talk and you'll find yourself blacklisted by the higher quality ladies.

3) If you like a particular dancer, invite her to sit with you to enjoy a drink. Buy her a drink. If you treat her like a lady, she will enjoy herself more in your company, and consequently you'll both enjoy yourselves.

4) Complement the dancers.

5) If you're hitting it off with a dancer and you want something outside of the ordinary, ask her. If you've been a gentleman up until this point, she may let you get away with more than the usual guy. (I remember a time I actually got off while this very sweet guy kneaded my breasts in the Champagne Room while I gave him a lap dance. We both enjoyed ourselves.)

6) If you don't get anything "above and beyond" don't be a pouty baby. Realize this is someone's job.
